Disappointment is an Understatement.
I was charged $40 to park, and traffic control at the venue was absolutely awful, with a wait of almost 30 minutes just to get in. Not even the Staples Center charges that much! The first time I saw him was 8 years ago at the Hollywood Palladium, where he brought me to tears with his music, performing from the heart. Jim Jefferies has been one of my favorite artists since I was in high school, and this is the third time I鈥檝e gone to see him. Every song he sang were radio popular songs and unfortunately nothing else. It all felt cookie cutter. I did not feel this way at all with this concert. Speaking as a fan who has followed him for over 8 years, there is so much more to his music than what鈥檚 played on the radio, and normally he proves that to be true in concert, but not this time. I believe as he becomes more popular, he feels the need to please audiences more than stay true to who he is as an artist. Moving on to the concert itself, I will always love Jim鈥檚 music, but I would not recommend this event to fans who expect to hear more than what鈥檚 on the radio.
